Rufford’s Christmas markets raise £1000 for charity

13th December 2021

Rufford’s Country Lifestyle hosted its very first Christmas Markets in Claughton on Brock, Preston on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of December. Despite the weather, the market was hugely successful with visitors from throughout Lancashire calling in to do some Christmas shopping.

Whilst Rufford’s was open for late night shopping, the local businesses that attended the market included range of artisan products, such as barista coffees and hot chocolates, cakes and bakes from Bella’s Coffee House; handmade accessories including wreaths and Christmas trees from Gamebirds Of A Feather;  handcrafted, locally produced gin from Wild Fox Distillery; a fabulous selection of cheeses from Love Cheese; and themed dog treats from Roe and Roo Store. With a fairground ride for the kids and mulled wine and a bar for the adults, everybody was catered for.

To complete the experience, visitors could also grab some food from The Striped Pig’s Hog Roast trailer, with a choice of delicious hog roast Rolls and then enjoy fresh waffles with ice-cream from Wallings Vintage Bike & Van Events!

Overall the event raised £1000 for Rock FM’s Cash for Kids charity through a raffle at the event and donations.
