Refunds & Returns Policy

At Ruffords Country Store, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we are happy to assist you with returns or exchanges within the terms outlined below.

1. Refund & Return Eligibility

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days, we are unable to offer a full refund or exchange.To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:
  • The item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it.
  • It must be in the original packaging.
Certain products are non-returnable for hygiene, safety, or legal reasons. These include:
  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines)
  • Intimate or sanitary items
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
Additional non-returnable items include:
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require proof of purchase (e.g., a receipt or order confirmation).Please note: Do not send your return directly to the manufacturer. All returns must be sent to our designated returns address.

2. Conditions for Partial Refunds

In the following cases, only a partial refund will be granted:
  • Books with visible signs of use
  • CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, software, video games, cassette tapes, or vinyl records that have been opened
  • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

3. Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or rejected.If your return is approved, a refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment (credit card, debit card, or other payment method) within a certain number of days.

4. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet, please check the following:
  1. Bank Account: Review your bank account again.
  2. Credit Card Company: Contact your credit card company—there may be a processing delay before the refund is officially posted.
  3. Bank: If the payment was processed through your bank, contact them directly as there can often be a delay in posting refunds.

5. Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, sale items are not eligible for a refund.

6. Exchanges

We only offer exchanges for items that are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same one, please follow these steps:
  1. Email us at info@ruffords.com to request an exchange.
  2. Send the item to the return address provided.

7. Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, we will issue a gift credit for the value of your return. A gift certificate will be sent to you once the returned item has been processed.If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, or if the gift-giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, the refund will be issued to the gift-giver, and they will be notified about the return.

8. Shipping Returns

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If your return is refunded, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your total refund.If you are returning an item of significant value, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
