The Alderbury Jacket is compiled of layers of polyester, synthetic down and taffeta-silk. The outer has a D.W.R. membrane applied to it. Ideally, washing should be by hand with warm soapy water. If heavily soiled, then machine wash on a very low spin, low temperature setting. Allow to dry naturally. DWR Maintenance. The Alderbury Jacket has a DWR membrane applied at the last stage of manufacturing giving it a water-repellent coat. With wear, this repellency will need to be replenished. This can be done with almost any general polyester waterproofer and should re-applied when necessary following the manufacturer’s instructions.
